An invitation to dinner in silence - Paris (2019)
A silent dinner is a participatory performance artwork, based around a three course meal.
During these evenings, guests are asked to "not use their voice, not write, not read, try to make as little noise as possible, not interact with electronic devices and stay for two hours. The purpose of the experiment? Live and enjoy the present moment without external "parasites".
For the first time, The Silent Dinners arrive in Paris. A first dinner will be held on May 24, 2019 in a private residence in Parc Monceau. On May 26, 2019 and June 2, 2019 guests will meet in a secret place in the 9th arrondissement of the capital.
Before coming to Paris in spring 2019, The Silent Dinners have been held in 15 cities across 10 countries, for between 2 - 200 guests at a time, in art biennials, as the keynote for festivals and in people's homes, private rooms, rooftops and town halls across the globe.
Each dinner is unique, infused with the flavours of the place and time and people who bring it to life.
The meal is a set menu, lovingly curated by a contemporary local chef with organic seasonal produce. If you have dietary requirements or allergies, you can let it know in the registration form when booking.
