The AOP cheese festival in Paris (2019)
Do you like good local products? Are you one of those people who can't live without a good piece of cheese on a slice of bread? So let's meet from 18 to 20 October 2019 in Paris for the second edition of the AOP Cheese Festival.
During three days, the square in front of the City Hall will be animated to the rhythm of the commitments of the 50 cheeses, butters and creams of the Appellation d'Origine Protégée (AOP), a unique opportunity to see all the best French products through the producers of the regions.
On the agenda: meeting with the producers, culinary and educational workshops, tastings and entertainment for children.
What is AOP?
The AOP or Appellation d’Origine Protégée is one of 4 origin and quality labels (AOC, IGP, STG, Organic) recognized in France and Europe. These three acclaimed letters guarantee that a product originates in a certain region, in a country, and that its quality is primarily defined by the characteristics of its environment as a result of natural or human factors.
