Le Morvan Natural Park
Introduction
From lakes to castles, through forests and pastures, the Morvan is the most beautiful natural area of Burgundy and the best preserved. It is divided into three very distinct areas: the Morvan of sites and valleys in the northeast, the Great Lakes area in the center, wild and wooded where the famous rivers Chalaux and Cure (known to kayakers) and the most mountainous part which corresponds to the Haut-Morvan.
It is a land apart: a deserted hamlet in appearance, steep valleys where trout rivers flow, meadows closed by holly hedges and age-old wooden fences.
