Paris' Opera Garnier exclusive visit

Introduction

Commissioned by Napoléon III, the Paris Opera House’s ornate 19th-century interiors including the Grand Staircase and 500-foot-long Grand Foyer lined with chandeliers easily rivals the extravagance of Versailles.

For a unique, behind-the-scenes visit, it's possible to arrange a tour of the rehearsal room where the dancers stretch and warm up before performances and the underground water reservoir immortalized in Gaston Leroux’s Phantom of the Opéra.
The 1½-hour-long event ends with a glass of Champagne as you watch people arrive for a performance.
