La Bourboule

Introduction

Synonymous of cure for all the young asthmatics of Auvergne, La Bourboule is a small city frozen in a Belle Époque tinted with kitsch.

Embedded in the Dore mountains, green in summer, fiery red in autumn and immaculate white in winter, La Bourboule is a condensed version of of late 19th-early 20th century architecture, with an eclecticism typical of the splendor of water cities.

The Grand Hôtel des Îles Britanniques and the Hôtel de Russie no longer receive any prominent personalities, but welcoming tourists is part of the town's identity.
